Colour Look and Feel is a powerful set of chromatic adaptation node plugins for node based compositors. It has been designed for color grading professionals with emphasis on accurate and precise control of all parameters of the chromatic adaptation process.

A Look Inside the Plugin Suite

Source and target white points can be specified using a RGB color, a tristimulus value (xy), from a library of CIE standard illuminants or from a Correlated Color Temperature (CCT) between 1000K and 15000K.

Each white point used by a node such as the target and source can be set using any of these methods individually.

Wide Gamut Support

All of our nodes support support both inputs and outputs through adjustable color spaces. There is no hard coded sRGB color space assumption, as is often the case. The input/output data behavior can be changed for each node to be any of: sRGB, XYZ, ITU-R/BT 701, ITU-R/BT 2020, ACES2065-1, ACEScg^{NEW V2.0}, ACEScc^{NEW V2.0} and ACEScct^{NEW V2.0}.

NEW V2.0 Improved handling for non-linear color components allows explicitly enabling or disabling the use of Color Component Transfer Functions (CCTF) in terms of the OETF and EOTF functions. This both allows flexible use of the nodes in technically challenging productions as well as artistic freedom to achieve certain effects.

CLF_LinearAdaptation
Linear chromatic adaption model, given a source and target white point. Plenty of methods are available, including (not exhaustive): Von Kries, Bradford, Wassef, Sobagaki, Sharp, CAT02, CAT16 and XYZ scaling.

CLF_BartlesonAdaptation
Chromatic adaptation using the Bartleson model. Given source and target white points.

CLF_CIE1994Adaptation
Chromatic adaptation using the CIE 1994 model. Given source and target white point, their luminances as well as a noise and luminance factor.

CLF_CMCCAT2000Adaptation
Chromatic adaptation using the CMCCAT2000. Given a source and target white point, their luminances and an induction factor.

CLF_CMCCAT1997Adaptation
Chromatic adaptation using the CMCCAT1997 model. Given a source and target white point, a source luminance and an induction factor.

CLF_ZhaiLuoAdaptation
Chromatic adaptation using the Zhai Luo model. Given source, target, baseline and sample white points. Source and target adaptation degrees and method which can be CAT02 or CAT16.

CLF_Fairchild1990Adaptation^{NEW V2.0}
Chromatic adaptation using the Fairchild 1990 model. Given source, target and luminance factor.

CLF_BurnhamAdaptation^{NEW V2.0}
Chromatic adaptation using the Burnham adaptation model, between CIE A, B and C illuminants.

Compositing Software Support

All compositing software that supports the OpenFX (OFX) plugin standard version 1.4 can use the Color Look and Feel Toolkit on supported operating systems. Please check the instructions for your compositing software on whether it supports plugins of this standard.

Pricing

Perpetual Studio Pricing allows the usage of the product within the specified organization by any number of people for any number of projects. Only applies to a specified version of the product, new product versions need to be purchased anew. Bug-fixes and general updates for the licensed version are included.

1. The studio size is based on the amount of employees that are employed at the studio at any time. Freelancers and contractors must purchase a license separately. If the studio size increases the difference to the next higher license level based upon the price list at the time of original purchase must be paid.
